LAKE WORTH DRAINAGE DISTRICT

Click on the link above for more information

LWDD HAS INSTRUCTED LCMA TO NOT OVERRIDE THE INTERNAL WEIR SYSTEM.

LWDD IS MONITORING LAKE LEVELS AT THEIR SYSTEM.

Currently, the District storm team is conducting damage assessment and recovery efforts.

Neighborhood discharge control structures should be closed allowing for the natural progression of drainage to occur. Temporary flooding of streets, sidewalks and yards in low lying areas is expected and these areas are designed and constructed to hold and store excess rainfall runoff to avoid flooding of homes and businesses.

Residents are reminded that caution should always be applied when walking or driving through flooded areas. For life threatening emergencies dial 911. Visit our website for more information.

Thank you,
Lake Worth Drainage District

Lake Worth Drainage District controls the opening and closing of the weir system within Lake Charleston.  They do instruct the office as to when they can be opened and when they are to be closed.

If you have any street flooding, please notify LCMA office immediately.

Thank you for your assistance.
